For my 30th episode, I'm taking my interview to an unknown location somewhere deep in the galaxy to hang out with one of the biggest mysteries in the Vietnamese community... the man behind the ultra popular social account, Phở Da Culture and founder of the Vietnamese spirit brand Mot-Hai-Ba-YO! We crack open some drinks, get a little loopy, and somehow still manage to have one of my fav conversations yet.
We dive into how he built the largest Vietnamese social media community on Earth, why uplifting Vietnamese voices became his mission, and the marketing and social media strategies that helped it explode. We also talk about launching a Vietnamese alcohol brand, graphic design, and surviving the AI takeover (hopefully).
Of course, we also tackle the really important questions: What if the Vietnam War never happened? Is nước mắm the greatest sauce ever created? Which Vietnamese foods are over AND underrated?
